ASHEBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — People visit the zoo to see big animals…like elephants and giraffes.

However, you can also see the largest native toad species in United States at the NC Zoo!

The Colorado River toad weighs half a pound. That’s not the only special thing about them. This particular toad has become more well known for a different feature.
