Saharan dust sweeps through Piedmont Triad, air quality alert expanded


The Code Orange air quality alert has expanded.

The alert is in effect until late Sunday or very early Monday morning.

The alert is due to the Saharan dust blowing across the southeast.

If you have asthma or other health concerns, limit your time outside.

The dust should be out of the region by Sunday night.
