SciWorks will celebrate all things cold and frozen on Saturday, Jan. 23 from 1 to 4 p.m. during Frozen Science Fun Day. This is the second year the museum has offered this special event, and last year’s program was one of the most popular in the museum’s 50-year history, attracting nearly a thousand visitors, including hundreds of young girls and boys eager to celebrate one of their favorite films.

Visitors will participate in a variety of activities involving ice and snow including “Snowstorm in a Test Tube,” “Frozen Smoke Rings,” “Paint with Ice,” “Floating Bubbles” and “The Amazing Ice Melting Blocks.” The highlight of the event will be a meet-and-greet with guest princesses from the hit movie in the SciWorks Little Theater. All activities are included with museum admission (and free for SciWorks Members), and no pre-registration is necessary. In

In case of inclement weather, the event will be postponed until Saturday, Jan. 30. You can call the museum at (336) 767-6730 if the weather is questionable.
