NASCAR truck driver Zane Smith set victory lane on fire, literally.

Following his win on Saturday in the NASCAR Truck Series race at the Circuit of the Americas, Smith celebrated the way most drivers do—by doing a burnout. Unfortunately for Smith, that burnout resulted in his truck catching fire.

“Besides catching on fire in victory, that was a first for me,” Smith told Fox Sports after the race. “Man, that's a bummer right there… That's easily the most hectic victory lane celebration I have ever had and I apologize for catching the truck on fire in victory lane.”

Thankfully, safety crews arrived quickly on the scene and put out the flames before they engulfed Smith’s truck completely. Still, the truck had to be towed off the track due to the significant damage from the fire.

It's safe to assume that Smith, who has won nine races in his career, will never forget this victory.
