RALEIGH — Peyton Manning will work out for the Denver Broncos at Duke University on Friday, according to the NFL.
A private jet belonging to Broncos owner Pat Bowlen departed Centennial Airport Friday morning and arrived at the Raleigh-Durham airport around 1 p.m. On board was executive vice president John Elway, head coach John Fox, general manager Brian Xanders, offensive coordinator Mike McCoy, quarterbacks coach Adam Gase and team medical personnel.
Manning has been working out at Duke University with the help of Duke head football coach David Cutcliffe.
According to Michael Lombardi of the NFL Network, Manning will also throw for the Tennessee Titans, though no date has been set for that workout.
ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reports that Manning also worked out for the San Francisco 49ers this week.
The 11-time Pro Bowler and four-time league MVP visited Broncos headquarters at Dove Valley last Friday, spending six hours at the facilities. He has also met with the Arizona Cardinals, Miami Dolphins and Titans over the past week.
On Thursday, Manning notified the Dolphins they are no longer in the running for his services, according to the NFL.
