James Kenan wins 1AA state championship over W. Montgomery

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — James Kenan won the 1AA state championship over West Montgomery with a 42-14 victory Saturday, according to Highschoolot.com.

The Tigers defeated the Warriors behind more than 400 total rushing yards and a dominant defensive effort.

The victory gave James Kenan their first state championship win since 2007. The Tigers had a controlling lead during the game’ second half.
