MOUTH OF WILSON, Va. — Harry Giles, the top recruit in the 2016 high school basketball class, tore his right ACL on Tuesday and will miss the remainder of the 2015-16 season, his father confirmed to ESPN.
Giles’ father, Harry Giles Jr., told ESPN via text that his son’s ACL was “partially torn.”
Giles, 17, of Winston-Salem, is a senior at Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Va., who previously attended Wesleyan Christian Academy in High Point.
His father said he still plans to announce his decision on what school he will attend on Friday from Oak Hill Academy. According to ESPN, the four schools that are still involved with Giles’ recruitment are Duke, Kentucky, Kansas and Wake Forest.
The early signing period for college basketball runs through Nov. 18.
