CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Cam Newton shared a sweet moment with a young fan fighting cancer during the Carolina Panthers’ crushing 44-16 win over the Washington Redskins Sunday.
TV cameras caught Newton visiting Braylon Beam on the sidelines at the game and giving him a “chest bump.” Newton is Beam’s favorite Panther.
Beam, 6, of Lincoln County, has a tumor on his optic nerve. He made headlines earlier this year with his dance moves and even made an appearance on “The Ellen Show.”
Beam also signed a 1-day contract as the Panthers’ head coach and danced with players after a Fan Fest practice.
The Panthers are currently 10-0 for the first time in franchise history. They face the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving.
