CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Cam Newton honored his newborn son by wearing a pre-game shirt that features the two of them “dabbing” together.

ESPN reported that the Carolina Panthers quarterback sported the shirt prior to Carolina’s game against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday at Bank of America Stadium.

Newton also wore pre-game cleats to honor his new son, Chosen Sebastian Newton, who was born late last year.

“My longtime girlfriend and I were extremely blessed to have a son last week,” Newton wrote on Twitter on Dec. 30. “Our family is excited and thank you all for the well wishes! I’ve been quiet about this because I didn’t want to create a distraction for my team and appreciate the privacy in this joyous time.”

Newton often bursts out in a “dab” dance after scoring a touchdown. It’s a type of dance that originated in Atlanta.

Newton is the only quarterback in NFL history with 100-plus pass TDs and 25-plus rush TDs in his first five seasons. The Panthers are 15-1 this season and play the Seahawks on Sunday.
