WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — With a full moon rising over turn 2, Bowman Gray Stadium kicked off it's 67th season, a week late after a rain out last week.

The action was thrilling in all the divisions with the usual bumping and banging and a temper here and there.

The headline race of the night was the Hayes 200 Modified race with Jason Myers and Tim Brown starting from the front row. Jason led early while Brown got shuffled back on a restart after a caution.

The race saw a number of cautions, the most exciting when the cars of Chris Fleming and Austin Pack tangled on the front stretch resulting in the #50 of Michael Clifton bouncing up onto the guard rail, riding the top of the safety barrier half the distance toward turn 1 leaving behind a trail of race car parts in its wake.

Burt Myers won race holding off his Jason Myers who finished runner up with Brandon Ward 3rd and a hard charging Tim Brown who rallied to finish 4th after being shuffled back to 8th place through the middle of the race.
