ASHEBORO, N.C. — There are only 55 polar bears living in zoos in America right now. 

You have a rare opportunity to see two of them together at the North Carolina Zoo for the next few weeks. 

It’s breeding season for polar bears. Zookeepers hope the new male polar that just arrived will mean new cubs later this year.
