Guilford County election officials spent the beginning of the week preparing the 11 sites available for early voting for the March 15 primary. Early voting, which starts today, March 3, will be weekdays and Saturdays through March 12. Here’s what you need to know:
On the ballot
Voters will mostly be winnowing the field for everything from school board and county commissioner to governor and U.S. Senate. However, in Guilford County, the primary will decide who wins N.C. House 58 and Districts 1 and 4 for the Guilford County Board of Education.
A $2 billion, statewide bond referendum will also be decided. In the Triad, about $360 million would go toward such areas as higher education building projects, a National Guard readiness center and a new exhibit at the N.C. Zoo.
