Driver faces life-threatening injuries after crash on US 311 in Randolph County

RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. — One person is fighting for their life after a crash on US 311, near Randleman, according to Highway Patrol.

At about 6:56 a.m., troopers responded to the scene near South Stout Street.

Highway Patrol reports a Ford passenger car was headed south on US 311 when it did not stop for a stop sign.

That’s when a Dodge pickup headed west crashed into the car.

The driver of the Ford was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The people in the Dodge had minor injuries and were not taken to a hospital.
