KINGS MOUNTAIN, N.C. — A woman who fell about 150 feet off a North Carolina mountain and died was taking pictures with her family at the time.
WBTV reported that the unidentified 48-year-old victim was trying to take a family picture with her daughter and husband when she fell.
Authorities said it happened at Kings Pinnacle on Saturday afternoon, one of the main peaks at Crowders Mountain State Park, near the Gaston and Cleveland county lines.
The victim’s daughter and husband were taken to Caromont Regional Medical Center with minor injuries, according to the station.
The victim reportedly suffered head injuries and died after emergency workers could get her off the mountain.
