RIVERSIDE, Calif. — A 21-year-old woman was shot in the face, with what she believes was a pellet gun, while she was holding her 2-month-old son in the parking lot of a restaurant Friday afternoon, according to KABC.
Sarah Jane LaForge said someone fired at her outside Baker’s Drive-Thru shortly after noon.
The shot left a gaping hole in her nose.
“I felt like I got punched in the nose like three times. I didn’t really know what to think,” LaForge told KABC. “I honestly just covered my nose, and when I pulled my hand back, my whole hand was just covered in blood.”
Her father said he saw two men shooting airsoft guns across the street from the restaurant just moments before his daughter was hit.
Jeffrey LaForge said the pellet ripped through the trees and hit his daughter before he could warn her.
LaForge said if she had moved even an inch the pellet would have hit her son in the head.
The alleged shooter walked over and apologized, according to LaForge.
She said as soon as the guy found out they were calling the cops he took off down the street.
