ROMANIA — A woman in Romania claims her dead grandmother used her cell phone to take a selfie — from beyond the grave.
India Today reported that 34-year-old Gina Mihai said she turned on her phone she saw her dead grandmother with a snake around her neck.
“The whole image looked as if it had been taken through a hole, like it was shot through a tear in the fabric that separates the living from the dead,” she said, according to the Daily Mail.
Mihai said she was told by a fortune-teller that the message means grandmother needs to be prayed for. Churches in Scurtesti in Souteastern Romania have reportedly been crowded ever since.
Romanians give food to the poor once a year at service of alms for the dead.
Mihai said she hasn’t given food for three years. She said the fortuneteller told her it was a mistake not to have paid tribute with a food offering.
