Woman charged in connection to stabbing in High Point

HIGH POINT, N.C. — A Rockingham County woman has been charged in connection to a stabbing that injured a man on Friday night in High Point.

Natasha Kay Carroll, 27, of Madison, has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon. She was jailed under a $25,000 secured bond.

Police responded to the Sheetz at 1813 S. Main St. at about 10 p.m. Friday.

The victim had a stab wound in the back, according to police. Police said there was blood at the scene and evidence of injuries.

A man was stabbed near Richland Street and was driven over to the Sheetz, according to police.

The victim was later taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and the extent of the injuries remains uncertain.

The investigation is ongoing and no other details were immediately available.
