Woman accused of stabbing husband in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police arrested a woman accused of stabbing her husband during an argument at their home on Tuesday night.

According to police, at about 8 p.m., officers responded to a home at 235 S. English St. in reference to a stabbing.

After arriving on the scene, police say they found the victim, Anthony Smith, suffering from a stab wound.

Investigators say the couple was having an argument, when Anthony’s wife, Gwendolyn Smith, stabbed him.

Anthony was transported to the hospital and was treated from non-life threatening injuries.

Gwendolyn was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
