Winston-Salem store robbed at gunpoint, suspect sought

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police say a Winston-Salem store was robbed at gunpoint Thursday evening.

The robbery was reported around 9 p.m. at the Tienda Mexicana Rosy store located at 338 Waughtown St.

Store employees told police the suspect was wearing a ski mask when he approached the cashier and displayed a black revolver.  The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of money from the business before leaving in a vehicle, police said.

An incomplete suspect description was provided.

The suspect vehicle was not described.

No other details were available.
