Winston-Salem police investigating fatal hit-and-run

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Winston-Salem Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run that took the life of a pedestrian Saturday morning.

According to authorities, Wadsworth Williams, Jr. was killed when a vehicle struck him in the 3000 block of Butterfield Drive.

There is no description of the vehicle or the driver.

This was the first traffic fatality for 2015, said Winston-Salem Police.

The investigation is ongoing.
