DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. — The Davidson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide after a man was found dead in his home Sunday morning.

Deputies responded to a home located at 160 Panther Creek Court in Winston-Salem after receiving a 911 call about a possible assault just after 3 a.m.

Jason Paul Corbett, the homeowner, was found unconscious inside the home with head injuries. He later died from those injuries.

During the investigation, deputies determined Corbett was assaulted during a domestic disturbance.

No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

Authorities are not looking for suspects outside the home.
