Winston-Salem man dies from injuries in car accident

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A Winston-Salem man has died from injuries he sustained in a car crash Friday.

Officers with the Winston-Salem Police Department responded to a single-vehicle collision in the 5300 block of Reynolda Road around 5 p.m. Friday.

It was determined that a 2011 Toyota Avalon operated by Jackson Kent Outlaw, 86, of Winston-Salem, had traveled off of the roadway of Reynolda Road and into the wooded area, located on the southwest side of the roadway.

Outlaw was being treated at WFU Baptist Hospital and has died.

The cause of this collision is still under investigation.
