WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A man is in custody accused of exposing himself to children in Winston-Salem.

John Frances Columbine, 71, of Winston-Salem, is charged with five counts of taking indecent liberties with a child and one count of indecent exposure.

During October 2014, officers received several calls involving a male subject exposing himself to children in the 3600 block of Konnoak Drive.

Investigation revealed Columbine as the suspect in the case.

On Dec. 10, Columbine was taken into custody by members of the Winston-Salem Police Department Street Crimes Unit.

Columbine was placed in the Forsyth County Detention Center under a $250,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 8, 2015.
