WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A Winston Salem man faces charges after a fight in a Hanes Mall store on Friday, according to The Winston-Salem Journal.
Officers were called to the H&M store in the mall about 10:20 a.m., where they found that Joseph Christopher Sanchez, 21, of Winston-Salem, had been cut on the hand by a pocket knife, according to Winston-Salem police.
Police said Sanchez’ injury was not life-threatening and he declined further medical treatment.
Tyree Trumaine Thomas, 20, of Winston-Salem, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon in connection with the incident and trespassing, police said.
Police said Thomas and Sanchez knew each other and the altercation stemmed from an earlier conflict, but did not specifically say what it was about.
