WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Funds raised through an annual golf tournament taking place this weekend in Winston-Salem will benefit leukemia research.

The Doug Coley Golf Tournament, which was founded in honor of cancer survivor Doug Coley, is set to begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Olde Homeplace Golf Course.

All proceeds from the tournament will go toward cancer research.

Coley overcame acute myelogenous leukemia, which has a 40 percent survival rating.

The Doug Coley Foundation teams with UnitedHealthcare to raise money for cancer research.
