GREENSBORO, N.C. — The White House will reportedly honor a Greensboro teenager as one of 14 people from across the nation being recognized as a Champion of Change.
The Greensboro News-Record reports Bradley Blizard, who is a sophomore at Ragsdale High School, is among those awarded the title through Kiwanis International for “doing extraordinary work in their communities.”
Blizard on Friday afternoon will visit the White House for the recognition.
The paper reports Blizard began volunteering about three years ago with the Miracle League of High Point. The organization is one out of 250 chapters nationwide that efforts to help disabled children achieve their dreams of playing baseball. It consists of players between the ages of 5 and 21 who suffer from mental or physical disabilities.
