What are the most “Bible-minded” cities in the U.S.? What ones are the least?
A study conducted by the Barna Group in association with the American Bible Society claims to know.
The study measured how frequently people in 100 U.S. cities read the Bible and believed the message.
The organization deemed people to be Bible-minded if they read the Bible at least once in the past week and firmly believed in its accuracy.
The study found that just 27 percent of the country qualified as Bible-minded.
The most Bible-minded cities were all in the South, with Birmingham, Alabama ranked at No. 1. Charlotte took the No. 8 spot.
How about the least Bible-minded? That’s a tie between Providence, Rhode Island and New Bedford, Massachusetts.
