GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Steak ‘N Shake off Wendover Avenue in Greensboro has been robbed at gunpoint for the second time in about six months.
Police say the robbery was reported around 3:30 a.m. Thursday.
Restaurant employees told police that, about ten minutes earlier, the suspect walked through the front door, fired a revolver into the ceiling and demanded money from the manager. The suspect forced the employees to the ground before he obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled in an unknown direction.
No injuries were reported.
No ample suspect description was provided.

Around 1:45 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 3, police say two suspects were armed with handguns when they entered the same restaurant and forced a manager to open a safe at gunpoint. The suspects left through a back door after emptying the safe. Surveillance photos of the suspects were released, but it was not clear if they were ever identified or captured.
The Steak ‘N Shake on Lawndale Drive was robbed at gunpoint twice in a two-month period last year.
In the first Lawndale Drive incident, which occurred around 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 29, employees told police the suspects were wearing masks and armed with a handgun when they walked inside and demanded property.
In the second robbery at that location, police say a suspect entered the restaurant around 3:15 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, displayed a handgun and demanded money.
Ample suspect descriptions were never provided in either of the Lawndale Drive incidents.
