Opie Hughes hasn’t been able to see the colors red and green properly his entire life.

Hughes’ girlfriend found a pair of EnChroma glasses online that could help him see color more accurately.

Hughes knew about the glasses but couldn’t spend $350 on them, according to Inside Edition.

“My girlfriend actually stumbled across them online and tagged me in a link while I was at work,” Hughes told Inside Edition.”I was going to just instantly buy them, but then realized they would cost too much money. My sister ended up setting up a GoFundMe, which I knew about, but didn’t expect anything of.”

His sister, Katherine Empey, decided to give him the glasses for his birthday.

Hughes teared up as he looked into his children’s eyes and saw the correct color for the first time.

He said the experience was, “super overwhelming.”
