WALKERTOWN, N.C. — Rescuers responded Thursday morning to a report of a vehicle crashing into a house in Walkertown.
The crash was reported around 8 a.m. at 4920 Reidsville Road.
Troopers with the State Highway Patrol say the driver was on Reidsville Road when he lost control and went off the roadway, clipping the home and crashing head-on into a tree.
The passenger in the vehicle, who was the driver’s son, told troopers his father “slumped over” just before they went off the road.
The driver was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, where he was listed in serious condition as of 10:30 a.m.
Troopers are still investigating the crash.
No other information was immediately available.
