Two Triad-area high school soccer teams are celebrating state championships.
Vandalia Christian School in Greensboro won its first championship in soccer in 18 years by beating Wilmington by a 2-0 score on Saturday.
The coaches said the team played so well this year they dedicated the win to teammate Will Zimmerman, who has been battling leukemia.
The other area school taking home a big win was Wesleyan Christian Academy in High Point.
The Trojans beat Greensboro Day for the 3-A title.
