The United States Postal Service announced Wednesday that it will limit the shipping of hoverboards that contain lithium batteries.

In a press release, USPS said this move is out of “an abundance of caution.” The postal service said the move is in line with the policies of major retailers and the airline industry.

From now the postal service will ship hoverboards using Standard Post/Parcel Select, which only travels via ground transportation.

In addition, hoverboards can no longer be sent in international mail shipments.

This comes after the U.S. Consumer Protection Commission launched an investigation to determine what’s causing hoverboards to burst into flames.
