GREENSBORO, N.C. — Greensboro police are still looking for the masked man that held a family at gunpoint and robbed them of their belongings.
The home invasion happened on Brompton Drive early Wednesday morning.
According to police, the man walked through an unlocked door at the residence and pointed a gun at the people inside. They said the suspect ordered the victims to stay in the bedroom and stole their electronics and took off.
“I trust got to keep my family safe, but to hear about it in this neighborhood it’s disturbing,” said Ruth Dameron, a neighbor on the street.
Just last week and less than half a mile away on West Market Street, Bender’s Tavern was robbed at gunpoint. A nearby business owner said that area seems to be getting hit a lot more now than usual.
According to crimemapping.com, larceny and car break-ins are the most common crimes in the area so far this month. Assault and robbery are right behind them.
Police are still looking for the man involved in the home invasion. If anyone in the area heard or saw anything in regards to the case, immediately call 911.
