CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The merger between American Airlines and U.S. Airways will finally close Monday.
Last month, the U.S. government settled an anti-trust lawsuit allowing the merger to move forward.
According to WSOC, the CEO for the new American will remotely ring the opening bell for the Nasdaq Monday morning.
Customers will not see any changes immediately.
The airlines will operate separately until the FAA provides them with an operating certificate.
