Two cities from North Carolina have been named in a recent list of the “Top 10 Coziest Cities in America.”

GoCarolinas.com reported that Asheville took the No. 3 spot and Durham came in at No. 9. Portland, Maine took the top spot, followed by Santa Barbara, Calif.

The list was compiled by Honeywell Heaters and the environmental consulting company Environmental Health & Engineering.

Experts reportedly looked at features that would make a city “comfortable” including the number of restaurants, coffee shops, museums, breweries, florists and bed-and-breakfasts hotels.

The two North Carolina cities weren’t the only Carolina locations on the list – Charleston, S.C. came in at No. 7.
