Two gunmen on the loose after shooting at Burlington convenience store

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Two gunmen are on the loose after allegedly shooting a man in the parking lot of a Burlington convenience store Sunday night.

The victim told police he was entering the DP Mini Mart located at 839 Rauhut Street at about 7:20 p.m. when two cars pulled into the parking lot and the two men began shooting at him.

After getting shot the victim ran to 615 Montgomery Street for help.

He was flown to Duke University Medical Center to receive treatment for the gunshot wound to his right leg. At this time the victim is in stable condition.

The two gunmen are still on the loose and were last seen in a blue Honda and a dark-colored sedan traveling north on Rauhut Street toward Sharpe Road.
