ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — Two men have been arrested and charged in Rowan County after deputies found a “highly explosive” meth lab.
David Shane Reid, 44, of Rockwell, and James Avery Price, 27, of Wallace, S.C., face charges after authorities executed a search warrant at Reid’s home on Thursday.
During the search, Rowan County deputies said they found a “one pot shake and bake lab.” This particular method has been described as “highly explosive.”
Reid was charged with manufacture methamphetamine, three counts of possessing immediate precursors, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver methamphetamine; conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine and maintaining a dwelling to keep or sell controlled substances. Bond was set at $500,000.
Price was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, three counts of possess immediate precursors, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver methamphetamine and conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine. Bond was set at $250,000.
