STONEVILLE, N.C. — Two men were arrested after being shot during a home invasion last month.
Rockingham County police responded to Anglin Mill Road in Stoneville on Oct. 25 after a 911 call was made by the homeowners.
The homeowners were awakened by their dog and heard the intruders in their home. One of the homeowners armed himself with a shotgun and confronted the intruders.
The homeowner fired one shot, striking both suspects and inflicting what was described as “serious injuries” by the sheriff’s office.
Justin Omar James, 20, of Martinsville, Va., was taken into custody upon his release from Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Forsyth County on Oct. 28 and was in placed in jail under a $100,000 bond.
Teshun Cortez Richardson, 20, of Martinsville, Va., was taken into custody on Oct. 31 by Danville Police following his release from Danville Regional Hospital. He is currently awaiting extradition to North Carolina.
The investigation is still ongoing.
