Tropical Storm Hermine is quickly approaching the South Carolina line and will be close to Myrtle Beach by 8 p.m. Friday night and in North Carolina by midnight.

Tropical storm warnings were pushed further north and are expected to intensify as we move into the next week.

As the storm rolls through North Carolina, we will continue to see moderate to heavy rain across southern and eastern North Carolina.

Right now we have steady showers reaching Randolph, Chatham, and Davidson counties.

As of 12:30 a.m., rain in the Piedmont Triad has been moderate and the coast has close to three or four inches - FOX8 Meteorologist Emily Byrd said the coast could total 8 to 10 inches.
