HIGH POINT, N.C. — A train slammed into the front end of a tractor-trailer Tuesday morning, according to North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

At 7:48 a.m., a truck driver was driving the tractor-trailer on Glenola Industrial Drive near US 311.

Leonard Thomas Lee, 60, of Linwood was traveling north on Glenola Industrial. The tractor-trailer was operated by Triad Paper Recycling of High Point.

The engineer for the train, operated by Norfolk Southern, was not injured.

Lee suffered minor injuries.

Charges are pending at this time, the Highway Patrol said.
