GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — Multiple lanes of Interstate 85 South/40 West were closed after a crash on Sunday.

The crash occurred at Mile Marker 138, near Exit 138 for NC 61.

The closure began at around 5:06 p.m. and lasted until 5:36 p.m. The left two lanes of the highway were closed.

Traffic camera footage showed a heavy amount of congestion on I-85/40.

There is no word as to what caused the crash or the status of anyone involved at this time.
