GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — The left two lanes of Interstate 40 Eastbound were closed due to a crash just west of Greensboro, according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation.

The crash occurred at Mile Marker 208, near Exit 208 for Sandy Ridge Road.

The closure began at around 3:38 p.m. and lasted until around 5:08 p.m.

There is no word as to what caused the crash or the status of anyone involved at this time.
