Thousands of fans brave wet weather to support Panthers

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Tens of thousands of fans were inside Bank of America Stadium Saturday evening watching the Panthers playoff game against the Arizona Cardinals — and dealing with a lot of wet weather, according to WSOC.

Ponchos were flying off the shelves of vendors stationed around uptown before the game. One small vendor said he had already sold 40 an hour before kickoff. Even people who brought rain jackets were buying more, as an extra layer of protection.

Many Panthers fans were just happy to be playing in January after a rollercoaster season.

“Yes, but I’m very excited for the Panthers,” said Kristine Calderon. “I think they can pull through. Last week was a great game and we’re ready for today.”
