LEXINGTON, N.C. — Thousands of people attended the 29th annual Barbecue Festival Saturday in Lexington, with several restaurants joining forces to cook literally tons of pork.
Officials said more than 100,000 show up each year to what is one of the largest events of its kind in the country.
There were plenty of other attractions to keep people entertained as well.
“It’s been going great,” said one attendant. “We’ve had a wonderful time. Everything’s been good. The BBQ was delicious.”
