Thomasville woman accused of running over boyfriend with vehicle

THOMASVILLE, N.C. — A Thomasville woman is accused of running over her boyfriend with a vehicle on Monday night, according to Detective Chet Jarrell with Thomasville police.

Sequoya Diamond Rogers, 24, of Thomasville, is charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

Jarrell said Officer Jordan Tolson witnessed the incident at 11:43 p.m. Monday while on patrol. It happened at East Main Street and Maple Avenue.

The victim was identified as 26-year-old Tremain M. Pryor.

According to Tolson, Rogers drove the vehicle up onto the sidewalk curb and struck Pryor.

Rogers was detained at the scene after the incident. Pryor was transported to Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Rogers was placed in the Davidson County Detention Center with no bond allowed and is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 17.
