Thief leaves apology note after stealing TVs, computer

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Authorities in Cumberland County are looking for the person responsible for stealing thousands of dollars worth of property from an athletic center and leaving behind a note apologizing for the crime, WTVD is reporting.

Cumberland County Sheriff’s detectives said someone broke into 360 Elite Baseball Academy on Jan. 16 and stole several TVs, a computer, baseball uniforms, batting gloves, and titanium sports team necklaces.

Before leaving, the suspect left behind a note that read: “Sorry about the mess and the drywall damage, I think what you are doing here is a good thing.”

Detectives are still searching for the suspect or suspects involved.
