CALIFORNIA – A church suffered a major loss the week before Thanksgiving when they discovered that someone stole turkeys they were going to donate to families in need.

“This is just devastating,” said youth leader Charlotte Barbee.

According to KTXL, the burglar broke in through a window and stole about $400 worth of Thanksgiving turkeys out of the freezer.

The stolen turkeys and side dishes were set to be donated to families in need.

Barbee started posting on Facebook about the incident and within 48 hours, random people started helping.

One person even donated a freezer with a lock.

For more information on how to donate to the church, contact Sister Charlotte Barbee at 916-857-1589.
