SAN ANTONIO — Three children were saved from an apartment fire when they jumped from the second floor and into the arms of San Antonio officer Tim Bowen, according to KSAT.
After officials responded to an apartment fire Monday morning, officer Bowen heard the kids’ screaming and knew he had to help.
“I was just hoping they would come to me,” Bowen said, according to KSAT. “They didn’t want to at first but I talked to them and talked to them and finally they started coming. ”
He was able to successfully catch three of the children and the fourth, who was too afraid to jump, was later saved by fire crews.
Bowen is being hailed as a hero after every child came out of the incident unscathed.
