CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A teenager who allegedly tried robbing two people outside a North Carolina apartment complex was injured after his victims fought back.
The Charlotte Observer reported that 16-year-old Tarion Deshawn Henley faces multiple charges including two counts of attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon.
The suspect allegedly approached the victims outside of an apartment in Charlotte on Saturday afternoon and demanded money at gunpoint.
The victims fought back and got control of his gun. A witness reportedly called police.
The suspect was hospitalized and then taken into custody. The victims were treated on the scene for minor injuries.
The suspect also faces charges of possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a handgun by a minor.
