Teen shot, seriously injured in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- A 16-year-old girl was shot in Greensboro Monday evening, according to a news release from Greensboro police.

Officers went to 4411 Baker Ave. at 9:08 p.m. after a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, police located the girl suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

She was taken a local hospital where she remains in critical condition.

According to a preliminary investigation, the person who shot her drove away.
